Lewis Perdue – A glimpse at journalism experience


Lewis Perdue taught journalism and investigative reporting courses as a regular faculty member at Cornell University, and UCLA and as an adjunct professor at Elmira College.He also served as the advisor to the UCLA Daily Bruin student newspaper.

He has more than 50 years of experience spanning local reporting to enterprise and investigative reporting in Washington, D.C. including coverage of the White House and Congress.

Previously, Lew covered the business, finance, legal, regulatory, trade, management, health, and other industry issues for Wine Industry Insight (WII), which he founded in 2008  He sold WII  sold in 2023. He also founded Wine Business Publications (WBP)in 1991 and sold it in 1997.

After selling WBP, Lew wrote a column for TheStreet.Com and for The Wall Street Journal and book reviews for Barrons. (Dow Jones links buried in premium search). In 2000, Lew founded PocketPass, a PayPal competitor and the first Internet payments company for media.
